2007

The beginnings

Alf Mizzi & Sons establishes Kitchen Concepts in Malta, a group under which multiple different restaurant concepts will be developed, with a focus on quality ingredients and impeccable service.

2008

The founding of Zacaria

Zacaria is established as a group of companies representing Alf Mizzi & Sons, operating exclusively in Romania.

The group’s main area of activity is investment in multiple real estate projects, becoming one of the top real estate developers in the region in the following years.

2023

20 restaurants in Malta

The Kitchen Concepts group surpasses the milestone of 20 restaurants in Malta, with the most representative concepts being: Vecchia Napoli – an authentic pizzeria with 7 locations, Cuba, with 5 locations, Manakis – an authentic Greek restaurant, Gululu – serving traditional Maltese food and Chophouse – a Michelin Rated restaurant.

Kitchen Concepts reaches 450 employees and exceeds 1,700,000 meals served in its own locations.

2024

Olivia's - the Romanian market debut

Encouraged by the rich experience and success of the Maltese restaurants, Zacaria establishes the first restaurant in its own portfolio in Romania.

Olivia’s Trattoria is born, a unique concept that took over a year of work so that locals and tourists in Sibiu have the opportunity to taste authentic Mediterranean flavors in the heart of Transylvania. And this is just the beginning.
